‘High on the Hog’ Nominated for Peabody Award!

Pilgrim’s Limited Docu-series High on the Hog Gets Another Award Nod!

The Peabody Awards Board of Jurors released their 82nd annual list of Peabody Award nominees today and we were happy to see High on the Hog recognized by yet another awards committee!

The Peabody Awards recognize the most empowering and compelling stories across a multitude of media including television, radio and the web. The list elevates the voices of the unrepresented by recognizing the extraordinary talents of those storytellers and giving them a chance to be heard. Pilgrim is incredibly proud to be featured on the list with our Netflix docu-series High on the Hog.

Based on the book by Jessica B. Harris and hosted by Stephen Satterfield, the four-episode Netflix docuseries took viewers from Africa to the American South, exploring how Black chefs, historians and activists are keeping centuries-old culinary traditions alive.

This comes after the series won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Documentary (Television).

High on the Hog is available for streaming now on Netflix!
