‘The Boy Band Con’ Tops the Lists of Buzziest SXSW Films

South by Southwest is just days away and fans have already set their sights on the films they’re most excited to see. Making multiple Hollywood must-watch lists is Pilgrim and 1620 Media’s new documentary feature, The Boy Band Con: The Lou Pearlman Story. Taking an intimate look at the producer behind the 90s’ biggest musical crazes, The Boy Band Con tells the story of a man who managed to defraud the bands he made popular for decades. And that’s only the beginning of the story…

Making Rolling Stone’s 25 Movies We Can’t Wait to See at SXSW list, the doc joins such sure-hits as Us and Long Shot. The film has even garnered enough interest to be listed in Variety’s 11 Buzziest Movies at SXSW breakdown.

The Boy Band Con: The Lou Pearlman Story is set to premiere at SXSW on March 13 at 3 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre with additional screenings on March 14 and March 16 at the Alamo South Lamar E and Stateside Theatres respectively. We cannot wait to get this film into the world and hope to see you there!
