Pilgrim of the Week: Preston Boebel, Post Supervisor

Pilgrim of the Week: Preston Boebel, Post Supervisor

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! In celebration, we’re featuring a new Pilgrim of the Week: Preston Boebel. Preston talks about his favorite project, The Ultimate Fighter, which recently won Best MMA Programming at the World MMA Awards, and the best thing that’s happened to him this week. Learn more about Preston below:

What do you do at Pilgrim?

I’m a Post Production Supervisor. In other words, I run around like crazy and make sure shows are delivered on time.

What’s the coolest project you’ve worked on?

The Ultimate Fighter.

What’s the best thing that happened to you this week, either at work or outside of it?

My Fiancée and I celebrated four years of “going steady.” She set us up with tickets to see U2 at the Rose Bowl, guess that’s pretty cool!

Fill in the blank: If you really knew me, you’d know _____.

That I worked as a recording engineer for 11 years. I worked with bands/artists such as Quiet Riot, Whitesnake, Asia, Usher and Clint Mansell. I also worked on countless Blues, Jazz and Gospel records from artists you’ve probably never heard of. Bonus fun fact: The last project I turned down as I was transitioning to post, well it won a Grammy. Yay!

Who do you nominate for Pilgrim feature and why?

Kathleen Mason, because I want to get the nominations out of the Post Department. Hey Post, you owe me!
