Pilgrim of the Week: Sharon Griffin, Senior Coordinator of Rights & Deliverables

New week, new Pilgrim of the Week! Today we’re featuring Sharon Griffin, Senior Coordinator in the Rights and Deliverables Department. Sharon works on making sure the people and locations featured on all our shows are cleared. We spoke with Sharon to hear more about what she does, the highlight of her week, and the coolest project she’s worked on and more! Read on to get to know more about Sharon:

What do you do at Pilgrim?

In a nutshell, I make sure people, locations, etc. are clear. I also create the credits for various shows, flag questionable words and/or images and deliver legal binders to A&E, FYI and National Geographic. I am a Senior Coordinator in the Rights and Deliverables Department. I’m not certain if I was given the title “Senior” because of the years I’ve invested in this line of work or if it was a statement regarding my age. I guess you could say that title is multitasking.

What’s the coolest project you’ve worked on?

Hands-down, Wicked Tuna. Everyone who works on this show is amazing! Not only do I enjoy working on that show but I’m a huge fan! Note the photo. That’s me, getting ready to enter the costume contest on the best day of the year, Pilgrim Pie Day. Lynae Davis is an amazing makeup artist and worked her magic to transform me into Dave Marciano of the Hard Merchandise. Did I mention I’m a huge fan of Wicked Tuna?

What’s the best thing that happened to you this week, either at work or outside of it?

It was great to arrive safely back in L.A. after taking a trip to NorCal during one of the stormiest weekends in years. Riding the rails on Amtrak included mudslides, fallen trees on the track, squeezing an extra 100 stranded Amtrak passengers onto our Coast Starlight, and arriving five hours late. As TJ Ott would say, “No bueno”. Guess who wouldn’t mind a vacation do-over?

Fill in the blank: If you really knew me, you’d know_____.

My credit name is Grish Griffin, my favorite person in the entire world is my son, Spencer, and I love slot machines (not as much as Spencer, but close).

Who do you nominate for Pilgrim feature and why?

So many incredible people work at Pilgrim – this is a tough call. I nominate Bree Reiber because I’ve known her the longest and because she’s been totally awesome since the day she was born. I know this to be true because Bree’s mom is my best friend.
