Pilgrim of the Week: Suzanne Habbershaw, Clearance Supervisor of Rockhouse Images

New week, new Pilgrim of the Week! In our weekly Pilgrim of the Week features, we highlight awesome Pilgrims behind the scenes. As the world’s most diverse production company, we make sure that we have a great team behind us. This week, meet Suzanne Habbershaw, Clearance Supervisor of Rockhouse Images, Pilgrim’s division dedicated to providing quality stock footage and exclusive viral videos. Learn more about Suzanne, her role in Pilgrim and the coolest project she’s worked on:

What do you do at Pilgrim?

I look at footage either shot by RockHouse or acquired from various contributors and approve it for inclusion on our website for licensing to others. I also work with our Acquisitions Manager and send licenses to third parties for footage they own that we’d like to manage or purchase for licensing by RockHouse. In addition, I handle a majority of the footage requests from external companies that need content for TV shows, films and other form of media.

What’s the coolest project you’ve worked on?

The coolest project I’ve worked on is actually what I do now for RockHouse Images. When viewing this usually great footage, I need to determine what I’m looking at; and secondly, if I should approve it, and if so, under what parameters so RockHouse can license it to others. It’s so often a mystery to determine which bridge or plant is captured in the footage, as the details can be rather vague, so I’m always learning about new things or confirming that what I thought, was actually correct. I also feel like I’m constantly travelling as the footage comes from so many locations around the world.

What’s the best thing that happened to you this week, either at work or outside of it?

Over the weekend I went to the 626 NightMarket with friends and sampled numerous Asian foods I’d never tried before including Kimchi Fries, Bulgogi, and Macha/Oreo Nitrogen ice cream. Recommend you check it out! On the work side – I’m viewing some fabulous footage we represent from North Korea.

Fill in the blank: If you really knew me, you’d know_____.

I enjoy cooking and baking, and I love to entertain with my family and friends. I enjoy creating theme menus and hosting dinners throughout the year at my home.

What’s your favorite Pilgrim show?

I like My Big Fat Fabulous Life  because I think Whitney is really quite engaging and I enjoy the cast of characters that are part of her life. Especially Babs!

Who do you nominate for Pilgrim feature and why?

My choice for next week’s Pilgrim of the Week is Mike Kool because I don’t know him, but see him everyday and would like to learn what he does in our Finance area. He always seems so serious.
