Meet Brooke Heatley, Lead of Pilgrim’s Transcription Department AKA Queen of Transcription. Learn more about Brooke, her role in Pilgrim and the coolest project she’s worked on:
What do you do at Pilgrim?
I am the coordinator for our Transcription Department and act as the liaison between all of our outsourced transcription vendors and each of our post supervisors. I’ve also been dubbed Queen of Transcription, Mother of Dragons. (I dare you to peek at my name plate)
What’s the coolest project you’ve worked on?
Bros! It was a 10 episode web series (plus a Christmas Music Video), where I played a DUDE with a slightly off-kilter look at the world and a terrible sense of fashion. I had a jolly good time working day in and day out with our unbelievably talented team: Aaron, Jake, Buddy, Henry, Anthony and Shane! I thoroughly enjoyed the creative process and the collaborative effort.

What’s the best thing that happened to you this week, either at work or outside of it?
I just solidified a trial run with a Voice Over agent at Atlas Talent!

That I’m a major dork. I love anything magical, ethereal and whimsical. Just the smallest excuse to dress up and I’m in full garb, wings and all. Willow is my all time favorite film, (1988, Warwick Davis, Val Kilmer, go see it) but I’m also enamored by the likes of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Labyrinth and so on…And I’m blind in one eye.
What’s your favorite Pilgrim show?
Killer Contact. I found their paranormal investigations to be quite fascinating and spooky. Not only did the team of researchers explore haunted locations, but these places were often correlated with famous historical events and people, like Jack the Ripper. That made it much more intriguing for me.
Who do you nominate for Pilgrim feature and why?
Suzanne Habbershaw, because she has a heart of gold and her effervescent demeanor is infectious. And her flowers are lovely!
